2nd OCEANS Workshop

On March 11 (Wed), 2026, the "2nd OCEANS Workshop" was held on the Suita Campus of the University of Osaka. The workshop welcomed Professor Takeo Kanade (Founders University Professor, Carnegie Mellon University), a world-renowned authority in computer vision, and featured discussions on the application of robotics and AI in shipbuilding. Presentations covered a wide range of topics, including the latest developments in welding robots, a vision for applying Physical AI to shipyards, and multi-robot coordination using LLMs. Through active discussions with Professor Kanade, participants gained valuable insights into future research directions.
