Presentation at NAPA User Seminar Japan 2025
On Monday, October 6, 2025, at the NAPA User Seminar Japan 2025, Associate Professor Yasuo Ichinose from the Advanced Maritime System Design Joint Research Course (OCEANS, The University of Osaka), Graduate School of Engineering, The University of Osaka, delivered a presentation titled "Towards Building an Architecture for Ship Design Support Systems in the Era of Generative AI." In this presentation, he introduced application examples of generative AI in the design field and explained the possibilities and challenges of AI utilization in ship design. Furthermore, he presented the current status and future prospects of research and development at OCEANS, which was established in April 2025. Many participants listened attentively, showing great interest in the direction of next-generation design support using generative AI.
