ISOPE (International Society of Offshore and Polar Engineering) is organizing the annual ISOPE conferences, in which a large number of refereed papers have been presented on a broad range of timely topics on Offshore Technology, Ocean Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Ocean & Polar Environments, Offshore Mechanics, Coastal Engineering, Ice/Polar Engineering & Science, Materials, Tubular Structures & Welding, Advanced Ship Technology, and Underwater Systems (for details, please have a look at Call For Papers linked below). The ISOPE conferences have been the world's largest technical conferences of its kind. Following the successful organization of 92 sessions for ISOPE-2001 Stavanger (Norway), the ISOPE-2002 is being organized by the ISOPE with 20 cooperating organizations and societies, and hosted by Kyushu University and Local Committee. Its objective is to provide a timely international forum for researchers and engineers.
